On February 22, 2026, I'm running my 16th marathon to raise money for the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota! I'm a native of South Minneapolis, and feel lucky to come from such a creative, diverse, and community-minded place -- even after decades of living elsewhere, I still think of it as my home. I also spent 7 years working with low-income communities in Latin America and have volunteered as a translator for refugees seeking asylum in the US. I've had the privilege of seeing first-hand the incredible sacrifices people make to provide a better life for their families, and I'm grateful every day for my immigrant neighbors and everything they bring to my community. I love Minneapolis and am blazing mad about the DHS occupation of my hometown and favorite place! I've been so inspired by how Minnesotans are standing up for their neighbors right now, and want to do my small part to support from California.
