“Theatre is a communal act, an art that only exists in the presence of others.” – Anne Bogart
That truth has shaped my life for as long as I can remember. From the first time I stepped on stage, I knew it was where I belonged, a place where creativity, courage, and connection all come together under the lights.
I feel incredibly grateful to still be part of that magic as an adult. Through theater, I’ve found lifelong friends, unforgettable memories, and even my boyfriend. It has given me a community that supports, inspires, and challenges me to grow, not just as a performer but as a person.
Now, as a member of the Rochester Civic Theatre Board of Directors, I’m proud to help sustain the place that has given so much to me and to countless others. RCT has been a cornerstone of Rochester’s creative life for nearly 75 years, providing opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the power of storytelling.
This Give to the Max Day, I’m asking for your support to keep that spirit alive. Your donation helps ensure that RCT can continue to bring people together, spark imagination, and strengthen our community, both onstage and off.
Each performance reminds me why theatre matters. It connects us, uplifts us, and brings our community to life.
Thank you for supporting local theatre and the community that makes it shine.
