Community Opportunity Initiative

During the pandemic, we came together as a small team with a big mission — to make sure no one went hungry. From May 2020 to June 2022, Faith City Church and our partners helped provide over 30,000 meals across Saint Paul. We mobilized four churches as food hubs, rallied caterers and volunteers, and served families from Eastside to Rondo — no sign-ups, no conditions, just justice and grace.

That moment of compassion changed lives — and it taught us something profound: community already holds the solutions when given the chance to lead.

Our Next Chapter: Building Futures

From that lesson, we launched the Community Opportunity Initiative (COI) — a movement that turns compassion into community infrastructure. COI helps neighbors, churches, and local partners co-create solutions for food access, workforce development, and small business ownership.

We’re also partnering with the Saint Paul Justice Lab, which collects data, tests community-led models, and helps shape policy for lasting change. Together, these efforts are building a justice ecosystem — from church kitchens to city halls.

The Goal: $250,000 for Community Opportunity

During COVID, we raised $120,000 and fed thousands. Now, we’re stepping up again — not just to respond, but to rebuild.
