Supporting Our Neighbors Through Food Assistance in Watonwan County
The Watonwan County Food Shelf provides essential food assistance to individuals and families in Watonwan County who are experiencing food insecurity. Our mission is to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry by offering reliable access to nutritious food in a welcoming and respectful environment.
Established in 1982, the Watonwan County Food Shelf is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization incorporated by local churches with a shared commitment to caring for our neighbors. For over four decades, we have worked together to respond to the evolving needs of our community, serving people of all ages, backgrounds, and circumstances.
Our organization is entirely volunteer-run, with dedicated community members giving their time and compassion to operate the food shelf, organize distributions, and support clients with dignity and care. We rely on grants as well as generous food and financial donations from individuals, businesses, faith communities, and local partners to sustain our work.
Every donation helps us keep our shelves stocked and our doors open for those who need assistance. With continued community support, the Watonwan County Food Shelf remains a vital resource, strengthening our county by ensuring access to food for everyone who calls Watonwan County home.
