The Hanson Family is caring for their two daughters, ages 9 and 11, both of whom have Angelman's sydrome. The condition includes developmental delays, nonverbal communication, irregular sleep patterns, and sometimes destructive behavior. Contrasted to that is their love of new people, music, movies, and endless joyful behavior!
The project includes renovation of a single floor space to help the family and their care team with space that is more functional for their daughters whose bevarhiors can be random and hard to predict.
Joy Collaborative will bring together builders and designers to transform their space to provide an artist's corner for creative expression work, a calming space for times when times are overwhelming, and a common living space where music and dance can be enjoyed by family, and new friends!
Make this a great Give to the Max Day by donating to a Twin Cities project that will provide order and calm to a family so deserving of spaces designed specifically for their loving daughters.
