Support winter art & connection to Minneapolis!

In 2006, I experienced my first Art Shanty Projects on Medicine Lake, and it fundamentally changed my relationship with Minnesota winter. As a transplant, I was amazed that -10°F couldn't dampen the artistic experience or the joy radiating from every visitor. Everyone was happy—genuinely happy—in the middle of a frozen lake. After years of attending, I started volunteering and witnessed the transformative power of accessible art: families making annual pilgrimages, first-time visitors discovering new perspectives, and a community coming together in the most unexpected place. I joined the board in 2024 because I believe deeply in ASP's mission to create free, inclusive art experiences that turn Minnesota's harshest season into our most creative one.
