Join me to protect Minnesota's water!

Starting from family trips to National Parks as a kid, I have always enjoyed spending time in nature. However, in the last few years, it has really become my biggest passion. Hiking, paddling, and birdwatching have become my favorite way to spend my free time, and what I do to find some peace. Now that I have moved to Minnesota, I am hoping to get into more backcountry experiences, and I hope to go on my first Boundary Waters trip sooner rather than later! 

Exploring the incredible natural places the upper Midwest has to offer has allowed me to see firsthand the biodiversity, beauty, and fragility of these ecosystems. This has driven me to not only want to be a scientist working on clean water research, but an advocate as well. 

I am proud to work at MCEA because I really get to make a difference here. MCEA's long history of tangible wins for Minnesota's environment and health show their effectiveness in bringing legal and scientific expertise together to drive real on the ground change in Minnesota. With your support, I hope that I can continue in this great tradition moving forward as I strive to bring my engineering and scientific background to the advocacy world, which is a real blessing. 

Although I primarily work on clean water issues, MCEA does much more than that. They've helped stall the PolyMet sulfide mine proposal that threatens Lake Superior and indigenous waters, this year they shut down a metal foundry in Minneapolis that had been producing toxic emissions next to a daycare since 2018. They're helping rural well owners in Minnesota whose wells exceed the limits for nitrates, and are working at the Public Utilities Commission to make sure that Minnesota has safe transmission lines and infrastructure for the clean energy revolution. The list of projects goes on and on.

Minnesota is showing the nation that you can take care of your citizens AND the environment, even in the face of unprecedented threats.
