Cutting the Path

We are excited to launch the 2nd Annual Cutting the Path Competition Team, giving youth and veteran riders the chance to grow through a three-day clinic and retreat, with all meals and lodging provided, culminating in competition at the Dave Scriber Memorial Saddle Shootout in Verndale, MN, October 17–19. Six riders have been selected to represent this year’s team.

Cutting the Path is more than just a competition — it is a program designed to build confidence, develop skills, and deepen the connection between rider and horse, all within the supportive community that defines 7 Stars Ranch. The retreat and clinic provide hands-on learning, mentorship, and the tools needed to succeed in competition, while reinforcing the mission of growth, resilience, and connection through the horse.

We rely on the generosity of our supporters to make this program possible. Contributions help cover competition expenses, travel, lodging, meals, and participant/equine support, ensuring every team has the resources they need to fully engage in this transformative experience.
