Cindy Stilwill: 2026 Miles for Smiles Fundraiser

Life is full of journeys, and this year, I’m honored to embark on one that is truly unique and meaningful while helping Smile Network International provide life-altering, reconstructive cleft surgeries and related healthcare services to people in need.

This Fall, I will walk the final 100 kilometers of the Camino Frances, also known as the French Way. This five-day, 62-mile trek will take me from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. My mission during this journey is to raise awareness and funds for Smile Network International, a cause close to my heart.

My goal is to raise $2,500, which will directly sponsor life-changing surgeries for five children in León, Mexico. Every penny donated will go toward this important mission, as I will personally cover all my travel and trek expenses.

Smile Network International is a Minnesota-based nonprofit that provides free cleft lip and palate surgeries to children in under-resourced communities around the world. The impact of their work is profound, giving children not only new smiles but also new opportunities in life. What makes Smile Network truly extraordinary is the dedication of its team. All medical volunteers donate their time and talent on the surgical missions.

By joining this trek, I am proud to play a part in raising awareness and funds to support this life-changing work. Together, we can bring smiles to children who need them most.
