When Abdulaziz Kenfelcha arrived in the United States in 2009 with his wife and two children, he came with hope and determination. He was ready to build a new life, but like many new immigrants, he faced unfamiliar systems and limited opportunities. He worked to rebuild his skills, completed a degree in manufacturing technology, and eventually discovered his calling in graphic design and printing.
Abdulaziz started his business with one small machine and a dream. He worked tirelessly to earn customers’ trust, but growing the business required equipment and capital he didn’t have.
That is when he connected with AEDS.
Through Entrepreneurship and Business Development Training, credit-building support, and financial coaching, Abdulaziz strengthened his financial foundation. When he became loan-ready, he received support from the Building Hope Loan Fund and invested in high-quality equipment that transformed his business.

“This loan will go a long way toward developing my small business.” |
Within a year, he expanded into a second venture, created additional income for his family, and reached one of his biggest milestones: purchasing a home for his family.
Abdulaziz’s story shows what happens when opportunity meets determination. One loan helped him grow a business, create jobs, and establish long-term stability for his family.
