Support Spokesman-Recorder Statewide Expansion

Spokesman-Recorder is launching a statewide expansion effort to bring our community programs, wellness events, and educational workshops to more Minnesotans. For nearly twenty years, our signature program, Sister Spokesman, has supported women of color through monthly sessions that foster connection, health, personal growth, and community strength. With growing interest from communities outside the metro, we are preparing to bring these programs to additional cities and regions across the state.

This Give to the Max Day, our goal is to raise fifty thousand dollars to support travel, staffing, outreach, supplies, venue access, and program development for our statewide expansion. 

Your donation helps us reach women, families, and community members who are seeking culturally grounded support, resources, and connection.

Impact Amounts (Donation Tiers)

• $25 supports program materials for a community workshop.

• $50 provides wellness resources for Sister Spokesman participants.

• $100 helps cover travel costs for regional outreach.

• $250 supports speakers, facilitators, or program instructors.

• $500 funds a full Sister Spokesman session in Greater Minnesota.

• $1,000 helps launch new statewide programming in a Minnesota community.

• $5,000 supports full expansion efforts including staffing, travel, and outreach.
