A Project of Reparative Justice for the Makoce Ikikcupi

raised by 33 people

$7,000 goal

To quote St. Olaf College's official website's "Land Acknowledgement Statement" under Equity & Inclusion, "it is essential that we, as educators, identify our own positionality within the legacy of colonization." We, the 2022 fall term class of RACE 252 Indigenous Studies, couldn't agree more, which is why we are reaching out to encourage the community to go beyond the land acknowledgement. It is the college's duty as an institution clutching to colonial values to take active steps to further that fruitful sixty-five word statement.

How can people heal if they do not have access to their land, home, language, culture, and food? We encourage you all to reflect on how and why it is your duty to help.

All proceeds will be going to the Makoce Ikikcupi.

Every dollar counts and a little goes along way!
