SweetWater Girls Ranch is a non-profit organization that was started to rescue and rehabilitate young girls who have had their childhood stolen from them for the sake of sex trafficking.

What is sex trafficking? The term “sex trafficking” means the recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or the obtaining of a person for the purpose of commercial sex acts, where sex acts are induced by force, fraud or coercion.

Here are some startling statistics.
· The average age a child enters trafficking is 11-14 years old.
· At least 300,000 children are sexually exploited a year in the United State.
· 1.68 million Children run away each year in the United States making them an easy target
for traffickers.
· 80% of trafficked youth are runaways. This makes housing an immediate need.

This is a disturbing problem that is affecting our children in the United States, in Minnesota…and yes, in Itasca County.

SweetWater Girls Ranch goal is to be licensed by the MN Department of Human Services to offer a safe, tranquil home where these young women will be able to heal, grow and be transformed. Knowing the power to change and heal that comes from connecting with horses, we also desire to be a ranch where each girl would have a horse of her own to care for and train. Working with trained professionals and 24 hour staffing, the girls will be enrolled in counseling, life skills training, as well as classroom training on site. We are a faith based organization desiring to see each girl healed physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Sex trafficking is a serious problem and SweetWater Girls Ranch wants to do something to stop this cycle of abuse. But we cannot do this alone. We need you! Will you help us help these girls?

Please donate and be a part of turning these children's bitter lives, sweet, and restoring their dreams and future!
