Hello! Welcome to the Fundraising page for the Zero Abuse Project and the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center.
We are a Minnesota based non-profit with a vision to create a world where every child is free from abuse.
We work to accomplish this through engaging people and resources through a trauma-informed approach of education, research, advocacy, and advanced technology.
This year, we are dedicating our Give to the Max Campaign efforts to our partner, the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center, founded in 1990 by Patty and Jerry Wetterling following their son Jacob's abduction near St. Joseph, Minnesota. JWRC has a proven history of educating families and communities to prevent sexual exploitation and abductions of children.
Jacob was a special boy with an infectious enthusiasm for many things, including soccer. He was wearing his #11 soccer jersey when he was abucted. To honor Jacob and the way in which he lived each day, his friends and family created the 11 Traits which embodied his spirit and represented who he was and what he cared about. Here are Jacob's 11 Traits:
Be fair
Be kind
Be understanding
Be honest
Be thankful
Be a good sport
Be a good friend
Be joyful
Be generous
Be gentle with others
Be positive
This year, we are asking supporters to help us raise $11,000 -- for Jacobs 11 Traits. Your dollars will benefit the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center and the work we do, which is possible only when everyone believes that they have a role to play in ending child abuse.
Can you help us reach our $11,000 goal by November 19th, 2020?
