KFAI Year End Campaign

We know it’s not easy.  2020 has been an extremely difficult year for just about everyone under the sun. We at KFAI are wishing you and all of your loved ones safety and wellness in this time.

It was in this strangest year that I stepped into the role as KFAI’s General Manager and found myself striving to fill the shoes of our revered Interim GM, Ron Thums.  Amidst everything going on in the world, I found that the one thing that kept me feeling grounded and connected was the radio. Listening to KFAI became my ritual for getting through it all.

I hope you have tuned into the station some days and felt the same.  KFAI always seemed to have the right answer, whether it was the genuine local reporting that looped us in or just the right kind of music to help us breathe and tune things out.  When we needed them the most, KFAI and its volunteers pushed through to be there for us—to help us relax, to catch us up, to fill the silence, and to tell the full story.

We know it’s not easy.  Thank you for inviting us into your “pandemic pod” in 2020.  In 2021, we will be focusing on sustainability, building up programming on our secondary channels, and implementing technology to make hosting at KFAI truly accessible.  We will also be rolling with the punches, doing our best to adapt instantly to the evolving needs of our community and the evolving demands of the world in this time.
