In 2010, building on a 50-year history of preschool programs at Mayflower Church, Mayflower Early Childhood Center was formed with the mission to "serve an economically diverse community and to provide high quality Montessori learning environments that meet the developmental needs of the whole child."  In 3 years we grew to four Montessori "Children's House" classrooms for ages 3-6 years.  The following year we opened our Toddler program.

In 2011, we opened our Parent Resource Center that offers a variety of parent education events throughout the year, including a large lending library, parent workshops, and is staffed by our Director of Outreach and Communication.  This person also does community outreach, getting the word out to the surrounding community about our scholarship program.

Our scholarship program has grown each year in the last eight years, and we now are able to offer financial assistance to many of our families in need.  We believe that all children deserve the very best in early childhood education.  Although our programs are non-sectarian, we are an outreach of Mayflower Church that supports us with discounted facilities costs in order that we can serve more children.  We have an engaged parent community and a stellar Board of Directors, along with a highly trained diverse staff body who are passionate about the mission of our school, world peace  and the future of our world.

Please support us in fulfilling our mission to bring -- as Maria Montessori once said -- "The child is endowed with unknown powers, which can guide us to a radiant future. If what we really want is a new world, then education must take as its aim the development of these hidden possibilities.” (The Absorbent Mind)

Thank you so much!
