Organization History

In 2010 Hope for the Community opened its doors in Blaine to feed those in need in the Twin Cities community.  In its first week of operation Hope for the Community fed 27 families.


In 2012 Hope for the Community received TEFAP/USDA Certification. This certification allows Hope For the Community to provide nutritous food to more families.


In 2014 Hope for the Community became an independent 501c3 Non-Profit humanitarian organization.  Hope for The Community currently feeds approximately 600 families per week.


In 2018 Hope For The Community opened a location in Elko/New Market.  This location serves the southern Twin Cities area while Blaine continues to serve the North Metro and surrounding communities.


In 2019 Hope For The Community opened a location at Anoka Technical College in Anoka.  This location serves students that attend the college.


2020 Hope For The Community received trademark status for its mission statement:  Fighting Hunger, Delivering Hope ®


In 2021 Hope For The Community opened a location at Normandale Community College in Bloomington.  This location serves students that attend the college.


In 2022 Hope For The Community opened a 6th location at St. Cloud State University
