I'm proud to raise funds for MCEA, where I work as Chief Operations Officer. Every day, I see the impact of our work as we defend the natural resources and public health of the state we call home. We currently have a funder match. Your $5 can turn into $10!!
When we go toe-to-toe with polluters, holding agencies, businesses and individuals accountable for their decisions, the whole state benefits. Just a few of the things we’re working on:
- The speculative PolyMet mine proposal is still being challenged every step of the way, thanks to the efforts of MCEA and its partners. While other proposed mines wait to see how this plays out, we’re in court defending northern Minnesota.
- MCEA is helping set benchmarks for the nation, with our work to pass the most stringent restrictions on PFAS or “forever chemicals” in the U.S.
- We’re working to bring the power of federal EPA regulations into our state’s water quality standards, partnering with farmers and well-owners in southern Minnesota to solve serious threats to our groundwater.
