We are raising money for various vocational programs offered to Redwood Valley students!

Our current needs are:

  • Anatomage Table Initiative:
    • We're currently seeking support to assist with the purchase of an Anatomage Table.  The Anatomage Table is an advanced 3D anatomy visualization and virtual dissection tool for anatomy and physiology classes.  The table is an interactive lab table, where users can visualize anatomy just as it would look on an actual cadaver.  Students can explore various body images, from the early stages of childbirth to the effects of various diseases on the aging human body.  Classes able to utilize the Anatomage Table include: Intro to Medical Careers, Human Anatomy, CPR/First Aid, Health 10, Medical Terminology.  The table also comes with software that can simulate animal dissections, making it useful for other CTE/Science classes including: Biology, Animal Science and Vet Science.


Donations received will also assist with needs in the various courses:

  • Forensic Science (Current course offering):
    • Forensic Science is the application of science (chemistry, physics, and biology) to the criminal and civil laws that are enforced by police agencies in a criminal justice system. It includes the investigation of fingerprinting, fiber analysis, ballistics, arson, trace evidence analysis, poisons, drugs, blood spatters, and blood samples. Students are taught the proper collection, preservation, and laboratory analysis of various samples. 
    • Funds donated would be utilized to purchase equipment for the class including Blood Typing Kits, Forensic Slide Kits, Forensic Glow Blood Demonstrations and Forensics of Fibers Kits. 
  • Intro to Law Enforcement (Current course offering):
    • Intro to Law Enforcement introduces students to careers within Law Enforcement, providing students training in booking, criminal law as well as the physical/psychological demands of careers within law enforcement. 
  • Intro to Medical Careers (Current course offering): 
    • From nursing to records or phlebotomist to a researcher, there is something in the healthcare industry for everyone.  This class explores the wide variety of career options and needs within the healthcare field. Guest speakers and local healthcare professionals will be invited to share their career expertise, in order to assist the students. Field trips to various local health care settings will be part of the course. The goal is to provide an overview of health care careers, students will explore possible career paths that are part of our modern-day health care system. 
    • Funds donated would be utilized towards the purchase of additional medical training equipment.
  • Drones (Current course offering): 
    • This introductory class allows students to explore the world of drones, Unmanned Aerial Systems and their related technologies. Students will learn how drones are currently being used in a wide range of careers and what the future holds for this fast-growing technology. We will explore various drone systems, safety, FAA rules and regulations, national airspace system and much more. Throughout the course, students will be able to fly drones, learning the basic flight operations and safety.
    • Funding donated would be utilized to continue to purchase drones as well as materials needed for the drones class such as potential additional courses teaching building of for drones racing etc.
  • Digital Photography (Current course offering): 
    • This course focuses on the basics of digital photography, including building an understanding of aperture, shutter speed, lighting, and composition. Students will work with Nikon and Canon DSLR cameras. Students will learn about photographic careers. Students are introduced to the history of photography and basic camera functions. They use the basic techniques of composition and camera functions to build a portfolio of images, capturing people, landscapes, close-ups, and action photographs.
    • Funds donated would be utilized towards the purchase of photography equipment.
