Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has donated to our fund drive! We are over-the-moon with your generosity and support! That said, we are now only $145 away from our $1000 goal. Can you help us reach it? This money will be used to help us pay for a Needs Assessment to see what we need for our future library building and how we might get it built.

Established in 1916, the Van Horn Public Library has been a major part of the Pine Island, MN community for over 100 years. As our mission statement says, we are "Your window to a world of information and ideas." We provide a safe and open place to learn about a variety of topics, read the latest best seller or your favorite classic, watch a wide variety of DVDs, and so much more!

We love the historic building we are housed in, but we are finding it more and more limiting to offer the best library services to our community. We have limited shelf space so we are unable to keep a broad selection of literature on our shelves. While we can and do request books and movies from other libraries in the area, it can take a couple days to get them. While we do hold programs and events in partnership with other PI organizations, it would be ideal to host them in our own building (and have a place where community organizations can meet).

It's time to start fundraising for our future! Help the Van Horn Public Library start raising money for a new and improved building. We are just getting started at looking at our options, and your support at this time indicates community support for this project. Many respondents on our recent Community Survey requested a new building and expanded services. Your donation today will help make that request possible!
