Minneapolis Toy Library

Hello! Thank you for choosing to support the Minneapolis Toy Library. We are a toy lending library based in both Northeast and South Minneapolis, MN. We offer families and those caring for children, a library stocked with age appropriate toys for children age 0 - 5, ready for borrowing. We started lending toys in 2015. We now have nearly 500 active members and almost 7K toys. 

We believe in the power of play, but we know that can cost families and caregivers a lot of money. They can save money by joining a toy library and borrowing toys instead. With children's interests and developmental needs changing fast and often, borrowing toys can keep up with this need. This is a great way to help support families and caregivers in the Twin Cities area.

By borrowing toys, families are eliminating the need to purchase something new and much toy packaging waste is kept from the landfill. 90% of our toys are from donations. They are curated by our staff, many of whom have an education background, and those found to be appropriate for those under 5 years old we inventory it for our shelves.

We want everyone to be able to access the toy library! We have a scholarship fund for families interested in joining but having trouble with the financial piece. Access to the scholarship form is on our website and promoted through our social media channels.   

The toy library has always been operated by a team of dedicated volunteers and it's our goal in 2024 to pay the leaders and staff for their commitment to the Minneapolis Toy Library. They work hard to build the organization in a way that is sustainable. Your donation will help support the toy library's future and continue the sustainable efforts of toy sharing. 

We are asking all members and supporters of the Minneapolis Toy Library to consider donating $15 to this fundraiser. We are hoping to raise $5,000 and with your help we can do it - we know we can! 

You can pledge your donating on the Give To The Max site anytime between now and November 16th. However donating on Give To The Max day November 16th increases the chances that we can win golden tickets for $500, hourly tickets for $1,000, and super-sized golden tickets for $10,000!! The last 2 years we have been lucky enough to snag golden tickets - all because of your donation. Any amount of a donation counts!
