Give to Grow: Inspiring Student Choice at VMSS

At Valley Middle School of STEM, we believe every student deserves the chance to explore, create, and grow. Our mission is to cultivate curious, confident, and capable learners through hands-on STEM education, social-emotional support, and innovative programming. One of the most meaningful ways we do this is through Eagle Time — a daily block designed for both intervention and enrichment.

A key part of Eagle Time is student choice. Students have opportunities to explore areas of personal interest — whether that’s building, designing, creating art, developing leadership skills, or diving deeper into science and technology. This freedom to choose helps students discover their passions, build independence, and take ownership of their learning.
