Cathy’s Sister Parish Solidarity Walk 2021

On October 31, St. Joan of Arc’s Sister Parish will be having its annual Solidarity Walk to support the mission of justice that we all share. As we walk, we will be joined in spirit by all the sister communities in El Salvador and Guatemala including our sister community Tierra Nueva Dos in Guatemala. This walk helps us raise funds. Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, our communities have not been able to travel.  Sister Parish has lost the significant part of its income that delegations bring in.

Sister Parish's work to grow inter-cultural understanding and passion for justice in the U.S. and Central America is as important as ever. We need your support right now to continue walking with our members’ communities and building a better world through this pandemic.

The annual Solidarity Walk will provide crucial funds for staff support, communication, interpretation, project coordination, and online activities as we connect our partner communities virtually. This year, in addition to coordinating community projects like scholarships, the organization has also provided critical emergency relief to communities in El Salvador and Guatemala facing serious challenges due to the economic and health impacts of the pandemic.

In addition to raising funds, the Solidarity Walk is also a time to join our communities in fellowship and prayer. Please join us in reflecting on how we have built this beloved community through the current crises.
