Give to Support Katniss and her babies

Meet Momma Katniss and her kids. This little family was brought into animal control after being dumped at a gas station with two other adult male cats.

We pulled Katniss and her babies from animal control after we received an urgent plea to help one of her kittens who appeared to have bowels issues.

Sadly the bowel issues turned out to be much more, her little girl had genetic defects that lead to incomplete bowels and urinary tract with no way to surgically correct and we had to humanely end her suffering.

Later we learned of two other kittens with defects/deformities in their tails. One has a tail that is spiral like a pig, another has a full L shape, thankfully these do not cause further issues.

We also found that someone had tattooed a cross on momma Katniss's hip and she had a painful fractured canine tooth with exposed pulp (exposed to the nerve)

You can only imagine the financial impact this has made on the rescue.
