Update #2: Closing the gap!

Update posted 4 days ago
The new compressor is here, and it's everything we ever dreamed of! It's quieter, higher capacity, and very importantly, has a drier to keep moisture out of the lines! Artists can work faster - with less breaks for maintenance! - than was ever possible with our old system.

Unfortunately, funding uncertainties this year meant that we had to take out a $10,000 loan to finance half of this improvement project. We're still trying to close that gap with individual and grant funds - if you're able to contribute, this is one way you can help make a concrete impact to our shop and programming!

CAFAC supports over a thousand students each year in disciplines from blacksmithing to neon, and nearly every class we run uses our air compressor! This is a critical piece of equipment that powers dozens of important tools, and it's been kept working far beyond it's normal functional life.

This campaign will support the purchase and installation of a new air compressor system, which will be more reliable, more energy efficient, easier to maintain, and expand access to air tools throughout the CAFAC shop.

Any donation you make - from $5 to $500 - will make an impact. Thank you for helping us spark creativity and fuel community!
