$10,000 goal

Since 2017, Turtle Theater Collective has been committed to producing high-quality, contemporary work by Native or Indigenous artists.  Our goal is to produce Native/Indigenous playwright’s works with as many Native/Indigenous artists on stage and behind stage to showcase the Native or Indigenous experience.  In addition to producing Indigenous plays, we center Native bodies and voices by situating them within the broader theatrical canon, providing opportunities for Native artists to grow and play.

In 2020, TTC has partnered with the Guthrie Theater to help bring more theatrical experiences to the Native community in the Twin Cities as well as to bring more Native artists to the Guthrie Stage through Guthrie's community engagement program. TTC’s Artistic Director, Ernest Briggs, has been teaching several acting classes for indigenous actors for the Guthrie and another TTC’s Founders, Marisa Carr, has been co-teaching a playwriting class for Indigenous playwrights at the Guthrie.

We could not have continued our work without the help of our local community members.  We are forever grateful.

We are hoping to bring a play reading series via Zoom to the community for 2021 season with your generous help and support.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 this Give to the Max Day

Making a gift to Turtle Theater Collective means investing in the Native and Indigenous Artists of the Twin Cities area and acknowledging their voices and experiences matter.  Diversity makes this world better.

Please donate to support Turtle Theater Collective’s 2021 - 2022 season.
