Movies are magic. Help Trilingua Cinema bring more magic to more people!
Since 2020, Trilingua Cinema has hosted diverse film screenings and events by and for the East Side Saint Paul community. Trilingua Cinema was started by residents of the East Side to create opportunities for curiosity, connection, and storytelling through film, because the act of gathering together to experience a film is a communal act of discovery and joy.
At Trilingua Cinema, we screen movies in English, Hmong, Spanish, and other languages in community-accessible spaces. Our ultimate goal is to create a multilingual brick and mortar movie theater in the Payne-Phalen neighborhood. Your support helps us build our programs – and show great movies for you to come and enjoy!
Why your support matters now:
- Trilingua is growing! We are in the process of establishing our own 501c3 nonprofit, building our board of directors, and creating more volunteer opportunities. (Trilingua is currently fiscally sponsored by Springboard for the Arts.) This growth will give us more capacity for more programming and event offerings.
- We have new partners! We are growing our screening sites and our offerings. Along with our programming at the East Side Sculpture Park and East Side Freedom Library, we are now showing films at the Saint Paul Eagles Club.
- We have big plans for 2025! We are developing new programming and opportunities for youth engagement in 2025, and planning new film series. Your financial support makes this work possible.
Trilingua is dedicated to being engaged neighbors and building community assets. We are always looking for opportunities to partner and build towards our ultimate goal of a dedicated space for multilingual movies on the East Side. Help us make the magic real today.
