Support a square foot (or more!) during Give to the Max Day 2020!

$1,325

raised by 22 people

$2,000 goal

Join us on the ground floor — literally!

Over the next month, we will be laying tile and hardwood floors on the second floor of the YES! House to prepare this living and working space for our City Artist in Residence, as well as many, many artists to come in the future.

This Give to the Max Day, we're asking you to consider supporting a square foot (or more!) to help us get the job done:

  • $20 supports 1 square foot
  • $100 supports 5 square feet
  • $200 supports 10 square feet
  • $500 supports 50 square feet
  • or, any amount you choose!

The YES! House is a radically welcoming, creative community gathering space in Granite Falls, MN. It’s a creative economic development concept; transforming an underutilized, Main Street, historic building into a multi-use facility for local residents to connect and create with each other. The programming and design of the space was determined through a Creative Community Design Build (CCDB) process facilitated by local and national artists and architects from Homeboat, with support from the Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership.

While the pandemic has certainly affected our timelines, we're still moving forward and dreaming big. We look forward to sharing more about the YES! House — including exciting updates and new ways to get involved! — in early 2021.

The Department of Public Transformation is an artist-led organization that works locally and relationally to develop creative strategies for increased community connection, civic pride, and equitable participation in rural places. Funds raised on Give to the Max Day support the work and the people that drive this mission forward. Learn more at PublicTransformation.org!
