Why We're Fundraising

GMDC brings people together across differences–creating opportunities to learn, reflect, and build relationships. Whether we're leading youth workshops in schools, organizing community events, or supporting volunteers and partners, our work is about creating a Greater Mankato where everyone feels a sense of belonging. 

Right now, we're seeking community support to raise $10,000 for general operating support–the behind-the-scenes funding that keeps our programs strong and growing. This support helps us:

• Facilitate Promoting Respect Workshops for local students
• Host impactful events like Juneteenth and the MLK Pathfinder Awards
• Provide training, planning, and outreach throughout the year
• Sustain the day-to-day work that makes long-term change possible
