SUPPORT LOCAL NEWS THAT MAKES AN IMPACT
Our Mission: To build a better Minnesota by connecting people with the ideas and stories that strengthen our communities.
Our Vision: To create the leading model for local news in America – to drive innovation in media to make every Minnesotan’s life better.
Across Minnesota, local news sources are disappearing. In the past decade, our state has lost 34% of local newspapers and 64% of newspaper journalists. Local news connects us, informs us, and empowers us to make a difference. The Strib Local News Fund allows Minnesotans like you to directly support trusted, independent journalism.
INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM HUB
This fall, our investigative team examined Minnesota’s new “red flag” gun law, revealing that while it has helped prevent potential harm, many counties have rarely or never filed petitions — exposing gaps in enforcement.
That’s the power of investigative journalism: shining light on what works, and what needs fixing. With your support, we’re doubling our investigative team in 2026 to go deeper into issues like public safety, government accountability, and community trust across Minnesota.
This Give to the Max Day, your gift helps ensure Minnesotans continue to have access to credible, impactful reporting that holds power to account and helps build stronger, safer communities.
