WHY GIVE?

As mothers of Military men and women, we know how important SUPPORT from home really is to our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines & Airmen.

In a war zone, it is those packages, letters & cards that keep them going, especially when times get difficult. As moms, we know it's the packages sent with love from home that reminded them they are loved. It's the letters that give them strength, when facing the grief of a friend's death. It's cards stuck in a pocket to reread. It's the water balloons & water guns that reminded them to laugh and laughing was okay, even in a war zone.  It's all the little things that remind them someone is waiting for him/her to come home.

St Paul Blue Star Mothers sends aprox 30-40 packages 3x per year to our deployed servicemembers, wounded warriors and adopted servicemembers, who are in need. We also send birthday cards and letters.

But we do so much more. We have:

*Volunteered at Wreaths Across America

*Provide support to families of our fallen Heroes

*Raise money for Tribute to the Troops

*Volunteered at the annual Gold Star Family Weekend. A weekend set aside for families of our fallen for fun and rememberance.

*Sent items desperately needed to field and support hospitals overseas to help our wounded Heroes
