What we have planned for 2024

  • The Head Case: A Spiral Theater Mystery Radio ShowIn February, this work-in-progress about Shakespeare's decapitated head is getting dusted off and coming out of the vault for a staged radio show.
  • The Scribbler. The endearing show that launched us onto the Twin Cities theater stage is back in May. This time, the kingdom where no one can read or write will be staged at the Phoenix Theater with a new stellar cast and full creative team.
  • An untitled spooky show about baseball. Then in October, we take America’s favorite pastime and turn it into America’s worst nightmare in a horror-comedy with plenty of curveballs.

About Spiral Theater

Spiral Theater produces silly shows that emphasize our most absurd selves, the wild possibilities of language, and the creative spirit. Through creating work that is elliptically clever and so dumb, we support and motivate an engaged community of non-professional professionals, art hobbyists, natural creatives, and passively practicing artists. And by taking silly seriously, we strive for an atmosphere that is lively, casual, and accessible for audiences around the Twin Cities. Spiral commits to eliminating financial barriers by offering equitable pay standards for artists and Pay As You Are ticket pricing audiences. Finally, the representation and inclusion of historically marginalized communities is essential in the work of Spiral Theater.

Spiral Theater is a sponsored project of Springboard for the Arts, a nonprofit arts service organization. Contributions on behalf of Spiral Theater may be made payable to Springboard for the Arts and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

A fiscally sponsored project of Springboard for the Arts.
