$1,000,000 goal
This year, Park Public Schools & Community Foundation received a number of grant applications from schools and nonprofit partners working directly with youth in St. Louis Park. These requests reflect growing and urgent community needs from mental health to emergency resources.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are able to award nearly $50,000 in grants to support children and families in our community. But the need far exceeds our current funding.
We need you. Our goal is to raise an additional $50,000 so we can support the projects and services our kids deserve.
Where Your Donation Goes
All funds raised through this campaign go directly to supporting children and youth in St. Louis Park. Your donation helps provide:
Mental health support for students and families
Health care access for youth in need
Food security for families facing hardship
Emergency resources for urgent and unexpected needs
These funds respond to real, immediate challenges impacting students’ ability to learn, grow, and thrive in and out of school.
With all our successes, there were grants we had to turn away or reduce due to not having sufficient funding. We can do more, with your help. Your support will make it possible for us to provide the highest level of financial support to our St. Louis Park schools and non-profit partners. Your support strengthens our collective resolve to build a community where our youth thrive in and out of school.
Our Story
It is the mission of the Park Public Schools & Community Foundation to make a positive impact in St. Louis Park by providing grants for projects in the St. Louis Park Public Schools and to nonprofits supporting youth programs in St. Louis Park outside of the classroom.
"The grant money has been huge for us. We were able to fully fund our LEGO® coding," shared Kathryn Oberg, Talent Development Teacher.
Over the years, Park Public Schools & Community Foundation has been at the forefront of initiatives that address critical issues in our schools by funding grants to teachers and administrators in Pre-K - 12th grade, enabling them to deliver innovative and impactful programs to students in the areas of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math), Literacy, Global Society, Physical-Social-Emotional Well-Being, and Educational Equity. But that's not all. Your donations also made possible grants to non-profit organizations across our city to give SLP families greater access to stable housing, nutritious food, safe and supportive out-of-school time activities, and economic opportunity through career training programs.
From supporting local education programs to empowering entrepreneurs, your generosity has played a pivotal role in making our community a better place for all. This money does not fund core functions of our public schools or community organizations, like payrolls or capital projects, but rather focuses on providing funding for innovative projects or emerging needs.
