BEAUTY, JUSTICE, RADICAL HOSPITALITY, PEACE

Over the past two years, our neighborhood has faced incredible challenges.  The pandemic, economic downturn, the killing of George Floyd and the ongoing struggle for racial justice, the destruction of so many businesses, and on and on.

In the midst of these challenges, the Semilla Center for Healing and the Arts have worked to bring hope and healing to the Phillips community and beyond.  We’ve led two Peace Lantern Processions through the neighborhood.  Our youth painted murals and created mosaics for the community.  And we sponsored Neighborhood Art Parties to help bring people back together and create a stronger community.

More and more, we depend on the volunteers and donors who support Semilla.  Your contributions enable us to continue to build an artistic movement in south Minneapolis that welcomes and inspires so many people.   Thank you! Gracias!  Miigwech!
