Help Red Lake Rosie's Rescue save lives this winter! Rides for homeless. Rides to save lives.

$2,175

raised by 38 people

$15,000 goal

Our transportation budget runs as much as $15,000 per year. Can you help us save lives this winter? A ride for a homeless animal. A ride to safety and warmth. A ride to save lives!

The Red Lake Reservation is approximately 1259 square miles and the Red Lake Rosie's Rescue shelter is located on the western boundary of the reservation 18 miles from the nearest town.

.

The shelter has 22 outdoor kennels for dogs and an indoor facility for cats and very young puppies. The kennels each have a sheltered area filled with straw to help keep the animals warm in the bitterly cold winters of northern Minnesota. Each day, the animals are let out to exercise and socialize with each other.

After a stay at the shelter, all of the animals are transported to the Twin Cities for fostering and adoption.

We spend an average of $100 a week for gas to get animals picked up and transported to our shelter.

$40 per week for animals to hitch a ride with Leech Lake Legacy's transports.

$50 for Cass Lake animals to get on the transports.

$30 to transport sick/injured animals to our vet in Gonvick, Minnesota

Thank you for your support !

Our mission continues to be to reduce the overpopulation, homelessness, disease, and malnutrition of companion animals on the Red Lake Reservation in Northern Minnesota
