Our organization is small, volunteer run, and not for profit. Historically, our Give to the Max Day donations have made up about one third of our fundraising for the year. Along with donations during season registrations and sales of spirit-wear, we depend on these donations to keep the organization healthy.
The Rules Are Different in 2020
2020 won't give up, but neither will we!
This year we’re bringing some new tricks to the party- we have donors willing to MATCH YOUR DONATION UP TO $1500. Say what???! Yes, it’s true.
In addition to our scholarship program for any player in need, we will use your donations to fund items such as strategic investments in equipment, and coach’s training. Here are some examples of our priorities and what they cost:
- A portable fence ($1,800)
- Better equipment such as weighted and wiffle balls for each team at every level ($120 per team)
- More sets of catching gear for younger teams so we can train more catchers ($150 per set)
- Sending 612’s most promising coaches to National Fastpitch Coaches Association Training ($150 per coach) (NFCA is the professional growth organization for fastpitch softball coaches from all competitive levels of play.)
- In this pandemic year, our scholarship program allowed eight (8) players to participate who might have otherwise had to sit out for financial reasons.
Your donations make a difference --- large or small. We can do this together!!
We have about 130 families involved in our organization. If those who can afford it chip in $10-25 and we all get the word out to your fans who love to watch your youth play, we will knock this goal right out of the park.
Thank you for being a part of 612 and helping to keep our organization strong!
