INDIGO Education is a non-profit organization that has supported the provision of special education services within charter schools since 1992.
Presently, the small, yet mighty team of experienced school leaders partners with more than 60 charter schools throughout the state of Minnesota. Thereby, advocating for quality educational programming for over 3,500 students with disabilities.
Over the course of twenty-three years, INDIGO Education’s guiding principles remain unchanged; an enduring commitment to students with disabilities, school choice, and staff. INDIGO Education provides exceptional services and leadership to client schools with integrity.
The organization wholeheartedly embraces the following priorities for the 2020-2021 school year:
- Supporting school choice for students with special needs at the local and legislative levels.
- Ongoing, robust professional development opportunities and resources to aid systems and instructional practices of school-based staff.
- Positively impact the retention of special education teachers in Minnesota.
- The inclusion of all voices in conversations related to inclusivity, including diversity among teaching staff, regardless of the content area.
