Your support has kept our neighbors in their homes

Through your generous support and care for our Southern Minneapolis community, we have been able to provide 440 households a minimum of $1200 grants to keep our neighbors in their homes.

Our neighbors help keep the city of Minneapolis diverse, vibrant, and creative. Your support aids our community in being resilient and beautiful.

Thank you for keeping our community together.

Our Beautiful Community Has Funded 570 Households $1,200 in 11 months!

In 2026, the Renter Support Fund has received over $650,000 from generous supporters across the globe, providing direct aid of up to $1200 to 570 Minneapolis renters in 11 months.

A program of Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association (PPNA), the Renter Support Fund (RSF) is a monthly low-barrier cash assistance lottery dedicated to helping our neighbors keep their homes. Since its inception in 2019, the RSF has served over 725 households, including over 575 children. In the aftermath of Operation Metro Surge, our community still needs your support.

Applications open on the second Wednesday of each month and close the following Saturday at 12 pm.

  • Direct Impact
Your contribution provides direct financial support to renters impacted by financial hardship, illness, emergencies, and unforeseen crises such as Operation Metro Surge.

  • Sustained Support
Recurring donations provide a steady and reliable source of income that helps renters thrive and continue our work. Please consider donating $10 / month to support our cause.

  • Tax-Deductible
Your donation is 100% tax-deductible. We are a 501c(3) charitable organization registered with the State of Minnesota. PPNA’s EIN is 41-1409426.

I had fallen behind on my rent and was feeling overwhelmed and unsure about what to do. When I reached out to [PPNA], they treated me with compassion, respect, and understanding. They truly listened to my situation and took the time to hear me out instead of making me feel judged. Their team helped me by assisting with my past-due rent and even communicating with my landlord on my behalf. That support made a huge difference for me and helped relieve a lot of stress during a very challenging moment.
