Regions Hospital is committed to reducing and preventing unintentional injuries through its Injury Prevention Program, a key part of our Burn and Trauma services. This program offers:
- Community outreach and education
- Safety classes and training
- Grant-funded resources
- Research and data-driven initiatives
We serve all age groups, designing programs based on injury patterns seen at our hospital, across the region, and statewide.
Focus Areas Include:
- Senior safety and fall prevention
- Roadway safety (car seats, biking, pedestrian awareness)
- Water safety (including life jacket loaner stations)
- Head trauma and spinal cord injury prevention
- Burn and fire safety
- “Stop the Bleed” emergency training
- Partnerships with local public safety agencies
- Education for the public, healthcare providers, and professionals in public health
