Education anywhere is education everywhere. Education strengthens individual talents, awakens untapped potential, and changes the trajectory of a young person's life by lifting a student and their family out of poverty. 

Africa Classroom Connection aims to raise $39,000 in this campaign to build 3 classrooms! These will serve 150 students each year for generations to come!

This little girl captured my heart when I visited her more than a decade ago in her classroom that ACC built. She embodies what I saw in the enthusiastic young learners so eager for an education. For all these years, I've kept this photo as my screen saver and have it taped to my bedroom mirror. I see her every day.  

In her, I see the importance in and gratitude for our mission. Education is not taken for granted - families and whole communities rally around these learners, knowing that education awakens untapped potential, strengthens individual talents, and can lift them out of poverty. Deserving children are served by the classrooms ACC builds in rural South Africa. Without our urgently needed classrooms, children are overcrowded in rudimentary structures or taught under trees. During rainy seasons they are unable to learn at all. ACC provides shelter for our young learners - a safe and reliable environment for their learning to flourish.

Since 2006, ACC has served over 42,000 kids by building 125+ classrooms through our successful self-help program. Just $13,000 funds a classroom. Our core principles of grassroots participation and co-investment guide the building of classrooms. Communities are eager for education, raising financial deposits of about 3% (significant to them), leveling land, and securing water needed for construction. ACC funds the rest.
