We faced unprecedented challenges during the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years. You helped us raise thousands of dollars for #RosevilleRelief, supporting our students and families hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pandemic isn't over yet. And, although we are excited our students and teachers have returned to the classroom, we know we must do better than before.

At the start of the 2021-2022 school year, Superintendent Loeck promised to "Return To Better." Prior to COVID-19, there were deep racial disparities in our communities and in our schools. COVID-19 only exacerbated these disparities. The murder of George Floyd on May 31, 2020, rocked our entire world and forced us all to reckon with racism. In our case, the racism built into our school systems.

We share the Roseville Area School District’s equity vision of an equitable and respectful learning environment for every student, family, and staff member regardless of: race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, ability, home or first language, religion, national origin, age, physical appearance.

There is still so much work for us to do in order to achieve this vision for our schools. Returning To Better requires not only a renewed focus on eliminating the opportunity gaps in our schools, but also a fierce commitment to anti-racism.

Roseville Area Schools Foundation will be there as a partner mobilizing the financial resources to support our district's crucial work. We hope you will join us by donating today!
