We get calls daily for folx who need temporary care for their pets while they go through medical treatments/get evicted/leave an abusive living situation/take on care of a loved one/check into rehab… the list goes on.
We’re piloting a respite program that will help in these cases so that people don’t have to make the choice between a healthy, safe life and surrendering their pets.
That takes funding. Saving animals lives takes funding. Subsidized vet care takes funding. The pet food shelf takes funding.
