DCHS COVID 19 Relief

A few folks have been asking how DCHS is holding up during the mandated closure and statewide Stay Home Minnesota. Like all nonprofits, we're finding this to be a challenging time. We can't have our doors open, but that doesn't stop our bills.

Maintaining history is like maintaining a classic car or a work of art. There are niche costs to be able to do what we do, and to do it properly - insurance, utilities, technology needs and maintenance from computers to microfilm readers, archival needs - and these costs don't go away just because our doors are closed. 

And unfortunately, COVID19 is causing the postponement or cancellation of many of our upcoming programs, creating a loss of fundraising.
