Help build PioneerCare Auxiliary's gift shop. Funds from gift shop sales support residents here.

$35,000 goal

Since the early years of PioneerCare, a core group of volunteers has made it their mission to support the spiritual, mental, and physical well-being of people PioneerCare serves. Through gift sales, hosting special events, and other efforts, the PioneerCare Auxiliary raises funds toward that mission.

Now, the PioneerCare Auxiliary is excited to propose construction of the Dragonfly Gift Shop at PioneerCare Center. Proceeds from sales at the gift shop go towards more support of PioneerCare residents. The Dragonfly Gift Shop will occupy space within the main lobby of PioneerCare Center, replacing a cove behind the current volunteer desk.

The Project’s Key Benefits:

  • A permanent gift shop location for the Auxiliary is expected to increase visibility and access, thereby increasing sales.
  • Increased sales means more Auxiliary income to support residents.
  • Increased participation from volunteers.
  • Volunteers will serve a dual purpose, providing a welcoming presence in the PioneerCare lobby.

The name, Dragonfly, is especially meaningful as it honors the memory of Liane Barton. To Liane, dragonflies were special.

Liane started her career with PioneerCare in 1986, bringing along her passion and talent for helping people throughout her career. In her last years, she simultaneously served as activities and volunteer coordinator, Auxiliary liaison,  and supervisor for Pioneer’s homemaker staff.

Liane consistently served as an inspiration to those around her as she always put residents’ needs first.

Fundraising Goal:

The PioneerCare Auxiliary is partnering with members of the Foundation and Corporate Boards to raise $35,000 towards remodeling costs to create the Dragonfly Gift Shop. We invite you to join us in this exciting project by contributing a cash donation today.
