Welcome to Pike Lake Elementary!
Thank you to all our generous sponsors from last year! Our Outdoor Classroom structure is now furnished with some tables, benches, and fire enclosure that we really needed. We are looking forward to heading outside this winter and spring to study our outside environment and learn more about nature in our school setting.
We would like to work towards establishing a hammock reading space in our school forest for all our students to use. We have used the outdoor pavilion for researching scientific/environmental facts, hypotheses and other endeavors related to animals, nature, or weather. Donations will be used for the following equipment:
- Outdoor Classroom Supplies
- Landscaping stones for outdoor teaching areas
- Building Maintenance for Outdoor Education
- Microscopes for lab use
- Magnifying Glasses for insect observations
- Weather station
- School Forest Hammock Reading Space
Welcome to Pike Lake Elementary! We are a Pre-Kindergarten - 5th Grade elementary school in Northern Minnesota looking for supporters who believe in outdoor experiences in education for students of all ages. We hope to construct a 3-sided outdoor building adjacent to our school forest with possible electricity, solar panels for building lighting, and tables. We will use this structure for scientific/environmental facts or hypotheses and other endeavors related to animals, nature, or weather. Donations will be used for the following equipment:
