Philanthropy in Practice: Mankato

Connections Ministry provides seasonal, low barrier, emergency shelter in Mankato. As the shelter in place order began, Connections moved all of their guests to a hotel for isolation and social distancing. They are currently shifting their focus to preparing a new permanent shelter location that will provide up to 35 emergency beds and eventually offer year round shelter. Connections is in need of funding to continue outreach support to those experiencing homelessness by providing masks, hygiene supplies, and other emergency needs as well as funds to support the expansion of beds in the new shelter space.
