Churches United in Ministry operates Duluth's largest food shelf and provides emergency shelter and support for homeless individuals and families. Currently CHUM is supporting an elderly homeless group in quarantine in a local hotel and about 40 people in their shelter. They need funding to purchase personal hygiene supplies, gloves and masks and to help offset medical expenses for these people.

The Duluth NAACP is working to address known disparities in COVID-19’s impact in our region’s Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities.  The organization is bridging these disparities by providing supplies such as groceries, protective masks, and personal care items to people with limited means. Our activities will help to lighten the burden of COVID-19 impacts within our community and ensure that everyone has the ability to practice social distancing and safety tactics to keep our communities safe and healthy.
