Join Mohammad Hasan and Dan McNeil, a Thrivent Action Team, in the Ride for Peace Education campaign. This is the latest effort to raise funds for PeaceMaker Minnesota to aid them in their mission of helping schools be safer places, free from bullying and harassment, and to help youth learn positive relational skills like empathy, respect, and cooperation. Even a small contribution can make a big difference to promote peace in our schools.
The Ride for Peace Education campaign has gained sponsorship from Cassie Sanetra, a State Farm Agent, as a presenting sponsor and Big Idea Chiropractic, as a supporting sponsor.
The bike ride is scheduled to take place on May 2nd 2021 and starts from Taft Park in Richfield. Riders are asked to gather at 2:45 pm and the ride starts at 3 pm. We will be riding South on Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail, crossing the river on the old Cedar Avenue bridge and then taking the Big Rivers Regional Trail North. Riders are asked to go at their own pace. There is a late lunch at Lucky's 13 Pub, after which we will be returning to Taft Park via the trails at Fort Snelling and Minnehaha Creek. The full ride is 20 miles.
Sponsor a Peace Rider, by giving $80, $40, $20, or $10 - your gift represents support and encouragement at $4, $2, $1, or 0.50 for each of the 20 miles your Peace Rider rides! AND your gift helps more people teach kids to be peacemakers!
Be part of the bike ride, by making a donation of $40 or more and contacting Hasan or Dan at info@peacemakermn.org
