My name is Tywaun Taylor, I am the founder of Jen’s Hope House and a survivor of domestic violence. Jen’s Hope House is special to me for so many reasons, but most importantly, because I know first-hand how hard it is to put the pieces of your life back together after domestic violence.

Domestic violence comes in many forms, it can be physical, emotional, and verbal. For my personal story, it was a combination of all three. In my experience, the emotional and verbal abuse was the most damaging. It’s like no matter what you do well, the negative comments of your abuser replay over and over again, like a bad dream that you have to fight to wake up from; and keep fighting to stay awake so you don’t return to that dark place.

At Jen’s Hope House, we seek to help all survivors overcome domestic violence and become self-sufficient. While we already provide peer to peer mentoring, motivational speaking, and open forums, we still have so much more to accomplish.

Our goal is to be able to aid our clients in both Minneapolis and Atlanta metro areas. Jen's Hope House would like to help our clients maintain self-sufficiency and structure. We are asking for your help in providing aftercare resources to our clients.

It is my belief that if a person(s) is provided with choices and resources, it helps to brighten the light t the end of tunnel. It is my goal to help victims/survivors see that there is so much life to live after DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
