Thanks to all for your generous support! We met the goal for our Nourishing Our Neighbors campaign -- but if you've arrived here to give, please, don't let us stop you!

Merrick has provided much-needed food and services to neighbors during these last few months, and the need continues. So, please, keep being as generous, thoughtful, and supportive as you can -- every dollar you give goes to support East Side families in need.

Merrick Community Services has supported individuals and families to navigate life transitions, find stability, and promote independence for 112 years. Merrick works to meet the needs of East Side residents with healthy food through our food shelves & Meals on Wheels delivery for seniors; employment coaching and career training for jobseekers; and crisis intervention and other supports for families struggling with housing, health, and other issues.

We will continue to grow stronger, together, even as we navigate this unpredictable landscape in a global pandemic. To ensure that Merrick stays strong and effective, we are launching the Nourishing our Neighbors campaign, focused on providing essential food and services to East Side families impacted by COVID-19. Donations to #GiveAtHomeMN will provide much needed support for our food shelves and Meals on Wheels programs which provide critical access to food for individuals and families who have lost their income or who are homebound and vulnerable to the virus.

As part of the Nourishing our Neighbors campaign, we are hosting 3 virtual events:

  • A Community Conversation with Executive Director Dan Rodriguez and Bishop Patricia Lull - May 13th, 8:30am-9:00am, to discuss community-based responses to COVID-19.
  • A Community Conversation with Executive Director Dan Rodriguez and Commissioner Jim McDonough - May 28th, 8:30am-9:00am, to discuss how Merrick works with Ramsey County to improve the lives of our neighbors.
  • Momentum Breakfast: Nourishing Our Neighbors - June 18th, 8:30 am, our annual spring breakfast for program participants, volunteers, and supporters to celebrate our accomplishments and raise funds for our food programs.

To join us for any or all of these moments, please RSVP at the Nourishing Our Neighbors link at www.merrickcs.org.

We value partnership and appreciate yours at this time! Together, we can provide much needed food and services to those who have been deeply affected by COVID-19. We can’t do it without your support. Thank you for your generosity.
